Jacqueline Wade and Lauren Miller from Bailey's Hair Gallery help you recreate this smart office look...
In the first look for Essex Life's January fashion shoot we followed the latest trend for keeping the hair big. To achieve this, back comb the crown area to create height and then smooth the top layer of hair to hide the back combing. Keep the front sleek to enhance the fullness of the beehive. Sweep the sides back and pin them into place as this can make a short hair style look longer.
For the second look we tried to create a softer, more contemporary style, making more of a side parting and bringing the fringe across to soften the face. This time we created body at the crown with the help of volume products. By adding a small amount of texture paste to the finished look, you can also create texture within the style and make it more modern. Don't be scared to tuck the sides of the hair behind the ear to develop a different, more relaxed look for the evening.
You can easily change your day make up to
an evening make up with not too much effort. Always use a cream base eye shadow before adding colour. When using colour eye shadow, start with the lightest shade on the inside of the eye and work your way to the outer eye, ending up with a darker shade. This will 'open' your eyes. Keep your blusher fresh by adding a pearlised blusher to the cheek bones. To change your day look to evening, add a darker eye shadow to the corners of
your eye and blend it into your existing
eye shadow, add a splash more colour with
blusher and a bight lip slick.
