The art of Seduction

The art of Seduction

When Essex Life called in the girls from the Pin-Up For Heroes calendar to model for its lingerie fashion shoot, three local hair and make up specialists were on hand to

offer their expertise. Here, they share their secrets of success

The art of seduction

Make-up on Bianca
For the Essex Life lingerie shoot, featuring the girls from the Pin Up For Heroes calendar, I looked after the make-up for Bianca Rackham. To achieve a sumptuous appearance, I wanted to emphasise the models eyes with a smokey, smouldering look using Bobbi Brown Sparkle Glamour Quad and finishing a stunning transformation with false lashes. To create flawless-looking skin I applied a Mac Foundation followed by a setting powder. This was then complemented with a series of neutral lip colours, from Bobbi Browns Shimmering Gloss Palette, which were chosen to pick out the tones of each outfit.

Make-up on Helen
Working on the Essex Life lingerie fashion shoot was a great opportunity to sprinkle the Pin-Up For Heroes girls with a touch of glamour and sophistication. With the make-up choices I was aiming to create an elegant yet seductive look starting with Mac Foundation and an illuminator for an envious glow. I dusted the eyelids with a soft shimmery pink, followed by a deep brown shadow smudged along the lash line. This helped to emphasise the models eyes and the addition of false lashes completed the sultry look. Using a baby pink Mac powder blush on the apple of the cheeks added an extra youthful feel.

Hair for both models
On the Essex Life fashion shoot, I wanted to create a sexy seductive look to complement the lingerie, so I used soft curls created by FHI straighteners. I also lifted some hair off the models face to complement the face and make-up. Each model wore a look with their hair pulled back from their face as well as a look where the hair was allowed to fall across their face slightly, in a seductive manner.
