Down Hall Hotel is one of Englands most established country house hotels. Located in Hatfield Heath, near Bishops
Stortford, Down Hall Hotel is half an hour from Central London and also ideally located near London Stansted Airport. Dating back to 1322, this impressive Italianate mansion is an historic setting. The hotels grand interiors, ornate ceilings and abundance of natural daylight combine to make Down Hall Country House Hotel an experience like no other. You can take time to wander the 110 acres of surrounding woodland, parkland and landscaped gardens or sample traditional English afternoon tea in front of the roaring log fire. Or why not enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner in The Grill Room which serves a modern English menu prepared with fresh ingredients sourced from the hotels own vegetable garden?

Heroines helping heroes
Essex Lifes lingerie models, Helen Tosney (Miss June) and Bianca Rackham
(Miss October), feature in the 2011 Pin Up for Heroes calendar a charity calendar raising funds for the Help For Heroes charity. The calendar features 12 gorgeous girls with direct links to the forces who appear in 1940s style clothing ranging from cute polka-dot dresses, to lingerie and swimwear. The 12 girls were whittled down from hundreds of applicants by a public vote to win their place in the calendar. The 2011 Pin Up for Heroes calendar is available from www.pinupforheroes.co.uk and all proceeds are going to the Help For Heroes charity.
