Essex-based Courthouse Clinics had much to celebrate in 2015, but medical director Dr Patrick Bowler is still keen to keep Essex clients looking their best for the New Year. Holly Eells explains more

2016 promises to be a very exciting year for Essex-based Courthouse Clinics. Recently awarded the title of Best Clinic Chain at the 2015 MyFaceMyBody Awards, the award-winning clinics are one of the UK’s leading clinics for doctor-led cosmetic treatments, including all non-surgical treatments.

Dr Patrick Bowler, the medical director, opened the first Courthouse Clinic in Brentwood in 1998. The group now boasts 11 branches across the UK including locations in Birmingham, Bournemouth, Brentwood, London and Hereford. Commenting on the award, Dr Bowler says: ‘Winning this award is a testament to the hard work of the whole Courthouse Clinics team and we’re incredibly proud to have received this accolade. All our treatments are provided by friendly, professional and experienced specialists who have been thoroughly trained in the latest techniques and most up to date equipment. The clinic works hard to ensure that patients are safe and have an enjoyable experience so that they return again. The fact that we won the award shows that they are happy with the service we provide.’

He adds: ‘Winning at the MyFaceMyBody awards helps further strengthen the clinics’ credibility in the industry. It’s a great way to share our success with our loyal customers and encourages us to continue to provide and improve the highest standards of service and care.’

MyFaceMyBody is a brand built on connecting consumers to the beauty industry and these annual awards celebrate success within the sector. As the only aesthetic beauty awards, they provide customers with a voice for their favourite brands, products and services. This year, a team of international judges were involved in drawing up the final shortlist in the 22 categories covering the aesthetic, dental and media industry.

If you are still recovering from Christmas chaos and the indulgences of New Year celebrations, Dr Bowler shares some recommendations for 2016.

He explains: ‘Skin can look a bit tired and grey in the New Year, so treatments like the Harmony ClearLift can help lift, firm and improve skin tone without any downtime. It’s also a good time to start a doctor-led weight loss programme like Alevere to help you achieve a healthy and maintainable body weight for 2016 and beyond. We also have a fat freezing treatment, CoolTech, for any smaller areas of localised fat that are hard to shift even with diet and exercise, which is an ideal treatment for love handles, the tummy, hips and bottom. You might also want to book in for a course of Soprano Laser Hair removal, so by the summer you won’t have to worry about unwanted body hair!’

So what are the clinic’s most popular treatments at the moment? Dr Bowler adds: ‘Botox and dermal fillers, particularly for the lips, have always been the clinic’s most popular treatments. Soprano Laser Hair Removal is also very popular because it provides pain-free laser hair removal, which is great for sensitive areas like the bikini line and underarms. It can also be used to treat skin all year round, even with a tan. We have also seen a rise in demand for the ClearLift Laser treatment. It’s basically a laser that stimulates your own collagen without any downtime. It is popular with reality TV stars like ex-Made in Chelsea star, Lauren Hutton and glamorous supermodels such as Alessandro Ambrosio.’
