Zoe Orrin from Colchester

What do you like about where you live?

I love the village feel of the neighbourhood, even though we are close to the town centre. I also love the beautiful Victorian architecture and the coast is only 20 minutes away.

What is your reason for running the London Marathon?

2011 will see me attempting to complete 1,000 miles to raise awareness and funds for Walk the Walk. I have entered a number of events to help me achieve my target, the highlights of which will be The Virgin London Marathon and the London and Edinburgh Moonwalks. I have also secured a place in The Bath Half Marathon, The Reading Half Marathon, The Bupa 10k, The London Triathlon and The Beachy Head Marathon, with more events to come. You can follow my progress on Facebook (1,000 miles in one year for breast cancer) or donate at: www.walkthewalkfundraising.org/mcmumf

Who will be supporting you along the route?

My fianc Chris will be supporting me. He is amazing and zips around London on the DLR to try and spot me at as many places as possible.

What time are you hoping for?

I am power-walking this years London Marathon and want to beat my PB of 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Tell us about the charity you are running for?

My friend Caroline was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was pregnant throughout her treatment but her baby proved to be as much of a fighter as her mum and was born in June 2010. Walk the Walk is a grant-making charity.
