What do you like about where you live?
Im only five minutes from the High Street one way and five minutes from the station the other way. There is always plenty to do, from taking the kids to the park, to having a night out in a restaurant or a bar.
What is your reason for running the London Marathon?
This is my first Marathon and the reason for participating is for my sister, Laura. After a seven-year battle with cancer, she died on April 28 last year. She passed away aged just 32. Laura had been due to do the Marathon last year and was gutted when she realised that she wouldnt be able to compete.
Who will be supporting you along the route?
I know my husband and children will be there at the finishing line, but Ive had a few friends say that they will be there along the route, cheering me along, which, Ive been told, can spur you on immensely.
What time are you hoping for?
As a novice race runner, I am hoping to get round the course in about five hours. Any sooner than that and I shall be extremely pleased.
Tell us about the charity you are running for?
The charity Im running for is the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. This is actually the charity that my sister was due to run on behalf of last year, so immediately I knew that this was the charity I wanted to help as well.
