They may not have won ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2009, but street dancers Flawless have still found fame. Marlon 'Swoosh' Wallen reveals what to expect from their latest show when it arrives in Southend on Sea this month

Tell us about your latest show
This show is one of a kind. In a nutshell, the storyline is about an individual on a journey, chasing a dream but coming up against obstacles. He eventually sees that there is light at the end of the tunnel and this allows him to realise his dream. To say anything else would be to give it all away youll have to come and see the show!

What would you say to anyone who is wondering whether to book tickets to see it?
Its a must see weve created it for a broad audience, as opposed to just other dancers. Its got so much to offer because its a show for anyone in any career, of any age. It speaks to anyone whos in a place where they need positive energy.

How will the show compare with others youve created in the past?
People are used to seeing us dance for short bursts, whereas Chase the Dream is a full-length show. Youll see us perform a fusion of solos, duets, group pieces and different styles. Were known for street dance, but here were combining it with popping, locking, ballet and a whole host of other styles.

Do you have any fond memories of Essex?
I havent been before so Im excited about creating some new memories when we arrive.

What luxury could you not do without?
Definitely milk chocolate.

What is your favourite food?
Im a fan of Indian, Chinese and Caribbean foods.
I could go on, but I think those are my top three.

How did you get your big break?
I would say there were two big things that really helped us: Britains Got Talent and Street Dance 3D. If we hadnt had those amazing opportunities I think we would still be working towards where we are now.

What are you listening to on your iPod?
Various artists, but at the moment Ushers new album and a lot of Trey Songz. My favourite Usher track is Caught Up.

What do you do in your free time?
I like to catch up with friends and spend time with my family, plus all the regular stuff like going to the cinema and relaxing.
