Known for its green spaces and diverse choice of cuisine, Hornchurch has much to offer.

Nestled in the district of Romford, Hornchurch has benefitted much from its close proximity to London. But despite being close to the capital, the area also boasts beautiful scenery and many tranquil places to escape to. The vibrancy created in Hornchurch is clear to see, with so much variety that the whole family will never run out of things to do. For the children, there are numerous play centres, both indoor and out. For adults there are some exciting bars or, if relaxing is more your thing, there are spas and beauty salons in which to enjoy some ‘me’ time.

You’ll also find The Hornchurch Country Park, a former RAF base which has now won awards for its mix of heritage, ecology and conservation. The park is rich in wildlife, contains recreational lakes for fishing and a play area for the children. Known for its vast array of restaurants, Hornchurch is perfect for satisfying your taste buds. Visitors can expect more exotic cuisines, such as Thai, Indian and Turkish grills. However, if you prefer more continental tastes, there are also many authentic Italian or British restaurants serving high quality, classic dishes.

Shopping in Hornchurch is another delight. Visitors are spoilt for choice with an array of shops. For everyday items there are a number of convenient stores and many well known brands. However, if it is something a bit more special that you are after, Hornchurch has some wonderful boutiques for clothing and the home.
