RESIDENTS of Finchingfield, famously described as the most photographed village in the country, gathered for a charity ball recently. The glittering occasion took place at The Stables at Spains Hall on Saturday, February 7 and proved a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all those involved. Money raised from the evening was donated to the restoration fund for the village's historic Guildhall, which has fallen into disrepair. The Guildhall
acts as a heritage centre in the village and contains exhibitions artwork, paintings, pottery, sewing and weaving as well as historic paintings, maps and local photographs.
