More than £6,500 raised for local children and more than 100 guests joined members of The Colchester NSPCC Business Group at The Moot Hall in Colchester

THE 2010 NSPCC Emerald Ball was the most successful yet with more than 6,500 raised for local children. More than 100 guests joined members of The Colchester NSPCC Business Group at The Moot Hall in Colchester, with catering provided by The Lemon Tree. The night included spectacular entertainment from five-piece band Soul Kitchen, caricature artists and stilt-walkers.

Katie Skingle, chairwoman for The Colchester NSPCC Business Group, commented: It was another wonderful evening made possible by our main sponsors Colchester Lion Walk, Feathers Hair Salons, Weston Homes and Weston Business Centres. I am, as always, extremely grateful to my fellow committee members for their huge efforts and never-ending dedication to this worthy cause.
