Chigwell hosts Autumn Ball for Indian independence


Chigwell's Prince Regent Hotel hosted an Autumn Ball with a difference on September 11. Organised by Tom Sharpe, chair of the Repton Park Residents' Association, and Daljeet Singh Sher, national president of the India Association UK, the event clebrated the 60 year anniversary of the independence of India as a republic.


A Champagne and canap reception was followed by dinner, provided by Caraway Indian Brasserie. Entertainment included Bollywood dancers and a cabaret performance by Jade. Attended by several hundred guests, the event also raised over 6,500 which will be donated to the Haven House Hospice, The Alzheimer's Society, The Dream Factory and Thanks for Life.
