Blind Veterans UK is challenging Essex residents to take on a 100 kilometre walk from London to Brighton in 24 hours this July, while raising money for a great cause. Blind Veterans UK supports vision-impaired ex-service men and women and the money raised from the 100k London to Brighton will enable the charity to support veterans to live independently.
Victoria Marshall, fundraising events officer at the charity, said: ‘This is an exciting, challenging event, which will allow participants to enjoy the sunrise over the South Downs while raising money for charity. Many of the veterans the charity supports are taking part in the 100k themselves. It is a great opportunity to meet them and hear their inspiring stories.’
Registration for the 100k, which will start in Fulham on Saturday, July 2, is currently open. To sign up, visit www.blindveterans.org.uk/100k.
