More than 200 teddies, together with their owners and a few mums and dads, joined Colchester Mayor, Henry Spyvee, for a special sell-out concert at the Town Hall. The annual Teddy Bears Concert was put on by the Colne Valley Youth Orchestra to help raise money for the mayors charities. As well as being given a guided tour of the orchestra by conductor Nigel Hildreth and members of the orchestra, children were invited to conduct the orchestra and play percussion instruments. Cllr Spyvee described the event as, fantastic and more than 400 was raised for his chosen charities.
