Were looking into getting a new shower, do you have any advice on energy efficient shower systems and shower heads?

WE spoke to Susan Garwood, senior designer at Ripples in Chelmsford, for her advice on eco-friendly showering.

When choosing a shower, consider the water flow rate, which is how many litres will it use per minute? says Sarah. The design of a showerhead can affect water consumption. A large shower head with bigger holes uses more water, but isnt necessarily more powerful than a smaller one. If you do want a large, overheard shower, consider also having an additional smaller, hand-held shower which uses less water. This will make it more efficient when you just want a quick shower or to clean the shower enclosure.

Air showers, such as Hansgrohe Raindance mix air and water, increase the size of the water droplet to create a feeling of much more water than there actually is, reducing the amount of water used. The Eco-smart range has water dimmers to restrict the water flow, giving water consumption of nine litres per minute, significantly below the average for a flat, overhead showerhead with a usual flow of 18 litres per minute.

Ive just bought a projector and am now looking for stylish reclining leather seating to create a home cinema. What would you recommend?

I would direct you to Fishpools which has a very good selection of super slouchy recliner chairs and sofas perfect for kicking back in front of a film. In particular youll find some gorgeous leather ranges from Natuzzi,

G Plan and Stressless. Ekornes Stressless designed the first recliner chair in 1971 and has a vast collection of styles with built-in features to provide comfort and support when seated. The recliners come in several sizes, so its worth trying them out to see which suits you best.

Fishpools has a range of Stressless sofas with individually reclinable seats as well as models from the chair and stool collection. All have a patented glide function which detects your bodys slightest movement to provide maximum comfort. The Space and Wave sofa collection is ideal for modern interiors while the Arion range and the Jazz recliner (pictured) also have a funky retro vibe, ideal for a home cinema.

Call Fishpools in Waltham Crosson 01992 636465.

Where can I find a streamlined and contemporary wood burning stove for a modern property?

The Rika Twist by Euroheat (pictured) is ideal for open-plan living spaces as it can be rotated a full 360 degrees. Not only does it make a striking centrepiece, you can direct the heat wherever you are sitting in the room. Its made with high quality steel and cast iron, and features a large glass door with innovative air wash control. With a heat output of up to 8kW, it provides ample heat for medium to large size rooms.

The S10-40 is another particularly attractive steel model by Danish company Mors. It has a minimalist design and a large glass door giving you a great view of the flames. Mors is also bringing out the S10 wall-hanging steel stove. As this is mounted onto the wall, it literally appears to float, creating the illusion of space. Woodburners from Euroheat and Mors are both available at Brentwood Burners in Brentwood.
