The owners of an award-winning Essex garden centre are celebrating 30 years in business. Alan and Karin Bourne bought Perrywood Nurseries from Alan’s parents, Mary and Les, 30 years ago and moved on site with their three young children, Hannah, Simon and Tristan. At the time it was a small business selling pick-your-own strawberries, potatoes, plants and compost.

Alan and Karin still run the business, now called Perrywood Garden Centre & Nurseries Ltd (Perrywood), alongside two of their children; Simon is general manager and Hannah leads on marketing and communications.

To celebrate their 30 years they would love to hear from you about your experiences at Perrywood, and are collating memories at and via #perrywood30.

Alan Bourne commented: ‘We’d love to hear from the many people who have contributed to our success over the years; including customers (many of whom that have shopped with us for more than 30 years!), suppliers and of course our staff present and past.’
