Easter Bunny Trial
Danbury Country Park,

Enjoy an Easter-themed adventure in the park as you follow an Easter-themed trail through the park, paint a hen’s egg and meet the Easter Bunny. Each child will get a chocolate egg and the chance to take photos with the bunny.
This event is deal for families with children aged two to eight and groups set off every 20 minutes.

Green Island Gardens will be open over the Easter Weekend. Bring the family out to the gardens to enjoy a special Easter Hunt for the kids.

TransportFest – Easter Classic Car Show
Museum of Power, Hatfield Road, Langford, Maldon CM9 6QA
Discover all forms of pre-1985 transport with live music, craft stalls and a giant steam engine ‘Marshall’ working under steam. Also expect heritage engine exhibits, a miniature steam railway, model village and the tearoom will be open.

The three acres of garden are surrounded by mature trees, which on the northern boundary give way to a tidal stretch of the River Chelmer. Within this area, a range of different individual gardens and water features can be found. April starts the season with primroses, daffodils and tulips, together with camellias, magnolias and fruit blossom, a garden worth visiting.

Spring Plant Fair

A weekend all about plants! Join RHS Garden Hyde Hall for specialist nurseries selling rare and unusual plants, guest speakers, gardening advice and garden tours. It’s a perfect opportunity to get your garden set up for the season ahead. This event is in conjunction with Essex Plant Heritage. A plant crèche will also be available.

Evening Bat Walk
Belfairs Woodland Centre, Eastwood Road North, Leigh on Sea SS9 4LR
Join the woodland ranger Ashley Pinnock on an evening walk through the reserve to look and listen for bats. Meet at the Belfairs Woodland Centre to join Ashley on a walk through the Belfairs reserve and hear about the conservation work being undertaken to promote and conserve these wonderful animals. You can also use bat detectors to ‘listen’ for the bats calls!

Great British Beef Week

Celebrate Great British Beef Week at Deersbrook Farm with chef Alan Paton who will be serving a delicious three-course meal in the meadows of Deersbrook Farm, celebrating the Great British Beef Week and St George’s day, in conjunction with Ladies in Beef and raising money for RABI agricultural charity.
