To commemorate Felsted School’s 450th anniversary this year, pupils in Year 9 have each contributed a piece of artwork to create a mural of Felsted’s main building, School House.
‘Using techniques including drawing to scale and using colour, tone and texture, the students have used their own choice of medium to complete a piece of the image,’ explained the school’s artist in residence, Katie Shirtcliffe.
As well as the collaborative art project, Felsted is celebrating its 450th anniversary with a schedule of events throughout the year, including a service in St Paul’s Cathedral and a village family fun day.
