Deersbrook Farm butchery and farm shop is award-winning, renowned for provence, sustainability and knowledge. Their beef was recently shortlisted in the Great British Food awards for its flavour and succulence

Deersbrook Farm is unique because they show the real field to fork experience. All of the 100% grass fed beef and rare breed pork come directly from Deersbrook alongside specially selected free-range lamb, hogget, poultry, wild venison and game.

The head butcher, Scott Saddington, has an in-depth knowledge of nose to tail dining and will be keen to give advice on cooking and recipes. The farm shop is stocked with fresh seasonal produce as well as foodie treats from local artisan producers and handcrafted gifts.

The beef is notably some of the best in the country with chef endorsements from Nathan Outlaw shortlisting their Denver steaks in the Great British Food awards for flavour and succulence this month. Earlier this year chefs Matt Tebbutt, Paul Ainsworth, Frances Atkins and even guest Joe Sugg enjoyed the flavours on BBC1's Saturday Kitchen.

They also appeared on Simon Mayo's BBC Radio 2 show with chef Nigel Barden cooking a mini roast on air. So, what gives them this edge? Their native herd of Sussex cattle are the only certified 100% grass fed beef farm in Essex accredited by the Pasture for Life Association.

The cattle thrive out in the meadows without the use of interventions so are free from antibiotics and hormones. Allowing the cattle to graze naturally not only benefits the cattle but the environment too with carbon being locked into the soil. This also benefits us the consumers as the meat takes on the flavours and nutrients of the land.

They send their beef for nutritional analysis to show the amazing health benefits of 100% grass fed beef and they dry age all of their beef on the farm with Himalayan rock salt for at least four weeks. They also have a dry ageing chamber for longer aging if required.
